Several Accidents Over The Labor Day Weekend

Sonora, CA– The California Highway Patrol can only hope the numbers get lower when it comes to bad decision making when driving.
Brad Schultz with the CHP says overall,despite the numbers statewide, the Labor Day weekend here in the Mother Lode was pretty quiet. There were a total of six accidents and only two DUI arrests.
Statewide a total of 1,571 people were arrested for DUI charges and there were 19 collisions. He adds 27 people were killed in vehicle related accidents over the holiday weekend, slightly higher than last year.
