Sonora, CA — Comcast subscribers across the Mother Lode are experiencing interuptions in service today. Bryan Byrd, Director of Communications for California’s West Division was contacted and said he would invstigate the scope and cause of the problem. At this time, he does not have any information.

Residents in Sonora, Cedar Ridge, East Sonora, Murphys, San Andreas, Arnold and Angels Camp have reported not being able to access the internet, phone, or cable television.

Some customers reported that Comcast told them it would be restored within the next 2 hours.

Comcast also experienced problems in Fresno last week. According to The Fresno Bee more than 800 subscribers lost cable and phone service as a result of New Year’s revelers firing guns into the sky.

Update: Byrd says, Services have been restored, but some customers may still have a modem that is stuck. If customers are not seeing their services, they should physical reset their modem by pushing the “reset” button on the back of the device.
