Two Injured In Jamestown Crash
Sonora, CA – A couple traveling by motorcycle on Valentine’s Day night were hit on Highway 108/49 just west of downtown Jamestown.
According to CHP Sonora Unit spokesperson Officer Faustino Pulido at around 7:20 45-year-old Patrick Michael Farley of Manteca had been traveling about 45 miles-per-hour towards Chicken Ranch Road on a 1990 Harley Davidson Heritage motorcycle.
As he approached, 74-year-old Beverly Jean Keene of San Andreas, behind the wheel of a 2005 Ford Ranger pickup, was stopped at Chicken Ranch Road; without seeing the Harley she had begun turning left onto the highway. While Farley braked and swerved left to avoid being struck by Keene, the truck hit the right front of the Harley.
Farley and his passenger, 46-year-old Treva Ann Parker-Alviso from Manteca, were both ejected and landed in the northbound lane near the pickup. Officer Pulido states that Parker-Alviso sustained major injuries and was flown to a Modesto while Farley was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries. Keene was reportedly uninjured by the crash.
