Habitat For Humanity Organizational Changes
Sonora, CA — There are some big changes coming to Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County.
Head of the organization Betsy Harden has requested to move into the position of Resource Development Manager within HFHTC. The Board of Directors will now look to find a new head Executive Director.
“As we have grown, the role of Executive Director has shifted,” says Harden. “I have realized that my passion is the part about getting out in the community, spreading the word, and getting the resources all together to help the affiliate succeed.”
For several months, Harden has been doing “double-duty” as the Resource Development Manager and Executive Director. The group hopes to have a new Executive Director selected by September. Harden has led the organization for five years, and will remain in the top post until her replacement is selected.
HFHTC Board President Margaret McCreary says, “We are very sorry to see Betsy leave the Executive Director position but are thrilled with her decision to become the Resource Development Manager.”
Information supplied by the organization states that Harden helped oversee the Parrotts Ferry Village land purchase, built a strong volunteer base of builders, launched the “House Party” fundraising event, opened Restore, and established Administrative Offices.
