Officials: fire at SD hospital deliberately set
SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Investigators say a fire that destroyed three vehicles in a parking garage at a San Diego hospital was deliberately set.
U-T San Diego says (http://bit.ly/1ftiGyq ) the blaze was reported Monday on the fourth floor of the structure near Sharp Mary Birch Hospital.
Fire spokesman Maurice Luque says the flames were out in about 10 minutes, but then crews had to deal with flaming gasoline that flowed out of the garage.
Nobody was hurt.
A Ford F-150 truck, a Toyota SUV and a Honda sedan were burned. Damage was estimated at $100,000 to the vehicles and $50,000 to the structure.
Luque said no other information was being immediately released, including whether there are any suspects.
