2 killed 5 hurt in Orange County residential fire
SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) -- Southern California authorities say two people have been killed and five others were injured in an early morning fire in a residential neighborhood.
Orange County Fire Authority spokesman Steve Concialdi says the blaze broke out at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in Santa Ana. The Orange County Register reports the residence is licensed as a disabled care home.
Arriving firefighters found the house and its garage consumed in flames.
Five people were injured, two critically. Three others were hospitalized with minor burns.
The victims' ages are not immediately available.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
