UCLA women erase 13 point gap beat Oregon 88 83
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Atonye Nyingifa had a career-high 34 points and Thea Lemberger added 25 on Friday night to lead UCLA to an 88-83 comeback win against Oregon.
The Bruins (9-9, 3-3 Pac-12) trailed 77-64 when UCLA went on a 13-point run that tied the game 77-77 on Nirra Fields' jumper with 3:44 to play.
Both teams played back-and-forth until Corrine Costa made a key block for UCLA that led to Nyingifa's turnaround jumper and an 84-81 Bruins lead with 1:12 left.
Ariel Thomas answered with a slashing layup for the Ducks (9-7, 0-5), but Nyingifa made two free throws, Costa made another key block and Lemberger made two more free throws to extend the Bruins lead to 88-83 with 15 seconds to play.
Lemberger was 6 of 10 from 3-point range and Costa finished with six blocks.
Jillian Alleyne had 15 points and 20 rebounds and Katelyn Loper scored 19 for Oregon.
