2nd woman arrested in OC nightclub beating death
SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) -- Police have made a second arrest in the beating death of a woman outside an Orange County nightclub.
Authorities announced Friday that a 27-year-old Santa Ana woman was arrested on suspicion of murder. Her name wasn't released.
Police say they believe three women beat and kicked 23-year-old Annie "Kim" Pham of Westminster on Saturday during an argument outside of The Crosby nightclub in Santa Ana.
She never regained consciousness and was taken off life support on Tuesday. Coroner's officials say she died from head trauma.
A Santa Ana resident, 25-year-old Vanesa Zavala, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to murder.
Police say they're seeking a third woman. Investigators also had been seeking two men but now say they don't think the men were involved in the attack.
