No break in signs at OC 'fortress' where 2 killed
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (AP) -- Police say there were no obvious signs of a break-in at an Orange County home where a couple was killed this week.
Sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock tells the Orange County Register (http://bit.ly/1gwN6jJ) Wednesday that a preliminary investigation shows no signs of forced entry.
A real estate broker says the three-story home of nearly 9,000 square feet that is worth an estimated $3.7 million and is built like "a fortress."
Investigators are examining the business dealings and lawsuits dating back to the 1990s involving 57-year-old Bradford Hans Sachs and 54-year-old Andra Resa Sachs, a long-divorced couple with five children who had lived and conducted business together.
Deputies found the couple shot dead Sunday after someone called 911 from the home.
Their 8-year-old son was seriously injured but is expected to survive.
