Police officer injured in shooting
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Los Angeles police say an officer was injured during a shooting in a suburban neighborhood.
LAPD spokeswoman Wendy Reyes says a call came in about 9:30 a.m. Monday reporting a man with a gun in the Reseda area.
The extent of the officer's injury was not known. An ambulance was requested for an injured man but it was not clear if it was for the officer or someone else. Reyes could not immediately provide further details.
Cmdr. Andrew Smith says a perimeter is being set up around the 7100 block of Yolanda Avenue.
