Police ID 2 killed outside Boys Club in Oakland
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities have released the identities of a teenage boy and man shot and killed outside a Boys & Girls Club in Oakland.
Police on Monday identified the victims as 15-year-old Denzell Jones and 35-year-old Kanem Ayers, both of Oakland.
Police say Jones, a high school student, and Ayers, knew each other and were together outside the club located in west Oakland when someone with a gun approached them and began shooting late Saturday night.
The two were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police still have not established a motive. No one was inside the club at the time of the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
