Human bones found near Burbank nature center
BURBANK, Calif. (AP) -- Police say human bones have been discovered near a nature center in Burbank.
Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn said Wednesday that the skeletal remains were discovered by a city worker on Tuesday afternoon.
Ryburn tells City News Service the bones have been there "for some time" and were not buried.
He says detectives and Los Angeles County coroner's investigators on Wednesday were at the spot near the gate of Stough Canyon Nature Center, which is being treated as a crime scene.
It was not immediately known whether the remains were male or female, or how the person died.
