Enough already. How many people have to be injured at that intersection. The underpass is already there. Reroute those who wish to go east on 108 under there and either loop them around or make it a left turn with a merge lane onto the highway. I hope everyone survives this wreck too.
An alteration of the highway into that safe and sane configuration would take millions of dollars and years of EIR reports. It would ruin the backward nature of our welfare community. People will just have to drive a little closer to competent. A project as paid4 describes would cost too much money and require way too much common sense.
I am not saying it is what caused this accident, but, people trying to go east on 108 are just too impatient. I go this way often, and yes, sometimes it takes awhile, but, you will find a break in traffic making it safe to go left. However, people don't want to wait til it's safe, they simply get tired of waiting, and give it a shot. If you are patient, as you should be when driving, your chance to turn will come.
