731 useless food pumps to be exact, as of last April. Flush them out
So, what's the hurry to kill people? Every month or so we hear news stories of wrongly convicted people being released from jail after years on death row because of new DNA evidence or because 'eye witnesses' have recanted their testimony.
There is an old saying: "Better to let 1,000 guilty people go free than to convict one innocent person." But this will only have real meaning if YOU are the one being wrongly convicted.
If you like the death penalty, perhaps you should move to Texas, or North Korea where executions are faster - never mind the person may not be guilty.
Think It Over
Put them on the fast track to meet there maker.
Maybe it would deter crime in California.
If DemocRats would stop coddling criminals,
the law might be able to do there job and get the
victims some justice! Sorry but some criminals
can't be helped, cause you can't fix stupid,
not even with duct tape.
The Death penalty is a tough one for me. If I was to lose a child or my wife to some scum I would probably want to kill the perp myself.
So it's hard to deny someone justice. Perhaps the victim or family should choose not a judge.
Justice, and punishment yes, but I believe we should leave room for our Creator.
I don't think saving money should come into play. How much for humanity ?
I DO think punishment should be designed as a deterrent. Perhaps making big rocks into small rocks by hand.
ThinkItOver is right about DNA and now that we have that technology less wrongful convictions will take place.
I gotta look at anything Pete Wilson is behind with a jaundiced eye. Remember when he promised if we would vote him in again for another term as Governor he wouldn't make a run for the Presidency and then he did? Also remember that he voted himself in a very big fat raise on his retirement just before he left office. Crooked as a barrel of snakes.....
Hey Crockett, I'm more ruthless than you. It is not cost effective to keep these scum alive. That said, having the DP is a huge responsibility. No one should get it on circumstantial evidence. Only those cases where there's no doubt at all, I mean, DNA and other strong evidence.
Thinkitover, some people do deserve to die.
Tough thing to take a life ! But letting evil live is also tough .
Perhaps in the case of the death penalty maybe equal treatment in
the way the death penalty is carried needs done away with .
Save it for the mass murders and the crime against children and the weak .
Be clear in the law you kill a child you die you random or drive by
killing one or more you die you kill a piece officer you die and so on .
Leave no room for excuses .
And yes there are more murder crimes that could be on the list for
ending some one life . Make it clear , cold and hard .
Where do we sighn the pitation.. If some one has the link post it please...............
If Texas is a model for how the death penalty is a deterrent, then it should be evident by the numbers. What do the facts say?
Bring back the gallows, or the guillotine. From sentence to guillotine 5 years max.
Criminals need a deterrent. Something they fear and too many do not fear death. Maybe a job, like a life sentence changing bed pans.
I think the families of the vistims should get first shot at the scum; and let them have the choice of demise. If they want to burn them alive or bury them alive......let them.
First of all...most violent (almost ALL) comes from urban areas; and primarily liberal run urban areas....but when you have a hugs city like...say houston full of illegals...you get CRIME).
maybe THIS will help you. I doubt it though.
Top Shelf, acording to your link , "the facts say" the closer to the Mexican boarder the more criminals.
