Good luck with that, why don't you start by having the people in the bay area (who get their water from up here) conserve some water.
In 20 years in CA I have never seen a "conserve water" sign any way past Manteca.
Considering that the folks get their water from a different water shed (we get ours from the south fork of the Stanislaus), I don't think Manteca residents conserving will make much difference. The folks who use most of the water are farmers and that's coming from the middle fork (Oakdale Irrigation District - Beardsley etc...). Water ever us left of the south fork ends up in Don Pedro which is mostly fed from the Clavey and the Tuolumne rivers. Whick feeds Turlock Irrigation district which feeds mostly farmers. Right now farmers are not going to get a lot of water and are drilling wells like crazy which will make food more expensive from the added costs and failed crops. So, in short, if we ALL do our part we will get through this. Be the change you want to see.
Don't they drain Pinecrest every fall? If so, maybe they should rethink that practice and release water as rain or snow melt accumulate.
If i pay a flat rate for my mothly allotment, i am going to use every bit of it. Want me to save water???? Charge me for exactly what i use.
Good luck with that TUD. Most people already conserve.
How many people that are calling for conservation are still pooping/peeing in clean drinking water?
We need a new dam, higher than the one the idiots in the valley and in san fran and sac take the water from. THEN they can pay US for it.
