I'm for Prescribed Burning at this time of year. Those who believe in letting nature take it's course on fire invite catastrophic losses.
I'm for it too, as long as it's a BURN DAY.. If they're burning when the rest of the 'subjects' are prohibited from doing so, then there should be Hell to pay for their misdeeds...*
Every year they burn, just like you say.... and every year there are wildfires. So, how can that be working? Seems the cut it down, burn it black method is a complete failure. I guess it keeps the whole Cal Fire, USFS industrial complex churning. So I guess it comes down to jobs in the end, and not conservation, or stewardship, huh? Trees are trees, not money, or jobs. I guess until there are no more left worth "harvesting", keeping our heads in the sand is working just fine.
