Make NO mistake about, I personally am satisfied and proud of Americas rank and file fire fighters. With that said, I think heads should roll with administrative decision makers who let this fire burn the first days and sending fighters home. Yosemite is too important.
As well as those who are CONTINUING to let it burn! Last time I checked, we're still in fire season. This incident has became a 'goat-rope'& recent MML editorial remarks "Little has changed" & "Still not contained" prove it. 84% containment for TWO WEEKS NOW is shameful. The Forest Service are now thumbing their collective noses at the general public, turning this thing into a 'milk-fest'. I submit the Forest Service round-file that BS fire 'management' model & adopting a real fire SUPPRESSION plan, whilst imposing your 'rules' on the public, of which you serve? YOU placed in effect the fire restrictions, remember? "NO OPEN FLAME outside of a developed campground" (including BBQ's). Put your money where your mouth is & GET A LINE AROUND THIS FIRE before the hot weather comes back.
