The Rim Fire is going to be producing heavy smoke for quite a while. Why don't they just post an air quality warning "Until Further Notice"? It seems really silly to extend it every couple of days. The warning has been extended so many times now that it makes the people who make these decisions look inept or incompetent and oblivious to the obvious.
God Bless them, I would have never known.
Puh-leeze, Nancy. If it were just left on, then folks would spout nonsense about how "shouldn't it be routinely monitored and refreshed as necessary instead of just leaving it on all the time? Lazy government workers!"
My point is that it's become incredibly tiresome to read all the piddling little whining and criticism. Not only does it prove that their lives are empty, but it drags down the whole tone of our country. You all look like spoiled children who can't be satisfied.
Question authority! Freedom and creativity depend on independent thought!
But, for goodness' sake, have a filter. Complain about something that's worthwhile, or something you have knowledge - not just speculation - about. Give us all a break.
I've often wondered how the firefighters health is after being on the front lines for weeks , I don't see them wearing any breathing protection. It bothers alot of us (smoke) and we're miles away in some cases.
Mr CALI Green

Serious? No Bueno...
Anyone have any suggestions for chest pain, fatigue, etc?
Myself, I'm drinking a lot of water and coffee. What else to do?
Most of the Govt IS inept and incompetent. You know that...so do most people.
Because the winds change. Maybe it's not that obvious.
does knowing nothing always go against your opinion ?
This smoke is going too be here until the first rain storm comes in,unfortunately...
