Just want to say thanks to all the brave men and women who fought this fire in the trenches or in the command post. All of us who love this area are in debt to you for your bravery and perseverance. Thanks you firefighters for all you do!!
I would like to thank all of the people who put in long hours to control the Rim Fire. Firefighters(CAL FIRE, USFS,Local Government), Law Enforcement(Saw Police and Sheriff from all over central California), Medical Personnel, Support People (with out them nobody gets fed, fueled or a decent place to sleep)And the people of Tuolumne County for being great examples of what a community can do when they are facing such a natural disaster.I am sure I have forgotten many groups but My family and I will be forever grateful THANK YOU ALL!!!
I second TwainHarteMoe's post. Great job, and we can never repay you.
Contained does not mean it is out it just refers to they have more Control over it. Mop Up or Overhaul Operations will go on for months until the big rains prevent them from driving the Engines and Dozers in there because they will tear up to much ground.
