Pulling my hair out and turning my pockets inside out.
I work 60+ hours a week as an independent contractor and my wife is a small business owner. We don't have nice cars or a big screen tv, we try to minimize expenses, can't afford vacations and struggle to make ends meet each month. We don't qualify for food stamps or "free" health care, and can't afford health insurance on our own. Yet we're somehow considered rich and pay higher taxes than someone working hourly.
Living the American Dream, we are.
