The Health Of The Forest

Just say, logging, instead of "forest health." Healthy large trees are not a threat to public safety in any way. The fire hazard is in the underbrush, diseased and dead trees and excessive numbers of small trees. Timber companies want the big healthy trees. I don't oppose logging, but please don't insult our intelligence. Just say you want to get the cut out and please no clear cuts or water pollution.

The forest is so over grown so now we need another tax on lumber to fix it..It's too bad the ones trying to fix this problum can't remember when the forest was in good shape and why it was that way .. And how smart ones made it the way it is....

When a piece of land is "clear cut" trees are always replanted so they can be harvested again. Trees are a renewable resource. Cutting out some of the old growth timber makes it possible for younger trees to flourish.

I also agree with rider.
