First things first! Let's take care of this problem.

"State Sen. Tom Berryhill is accused of laundering $40,000 in violation of state campaign finance laws to help his brother Bill Berryhill get elected to the Assembly in 2008."

cattle dog, he was accused and not convicted of anything. The California courts are clogged with Obama supporters.

Crockett, I'm not a Obama supporter. Far from it.

I may or may not agree with Berryhill's views, but one thing is certain, CEQA needs to be overhauled so that abuse by certain groups stops. They know who they are.

CEQA has become one of the most abused pieces of legislation ever. While it's original intent was noble, it is now the tool of choice for extremist enviro-wacko's looking to stop any and all use of land, public or private. To them, you don't own your land and if you expect to do anything with it, you will pay dearly in the form of deeded open space, biological mitigation, etc. the list is long and costly. They have infiltrated all the public agencies and use CEQA to beat up, extort, stop or slow down and at the very least, raise the cost to do anything in California, no matter the public good. Our roads, hospitals, schools etc. all cost millions of dollars more to build due to CEQA compliance issues. CEQA has got to be reformed if CA is going to survive.

CEQA should be more like NEPA, everyone gets together before and a plan is drawn up. A law that is solely enforced through litigation is not very efficient. However, it sounds like this bill wants to skip CEQA altogether is environmental irresponsible. Our planet has definite resources and we are using them as if they were indefinite.

nab

If some PEOPLE would realize that the mind, UNCHAINED, is indefinate...then maybe you would bleet that resources are.
People fail us...not science...
They take it away...and we descend into antipathy and your denigration of thought.
