Who the heck are the Lundbergs ? Are they related to the Rockefellers or maybe even the Rothchilds.
I figured it out . It you buy 1,250,520 gallons it's cheaper to fill up in Montana.
Jan 1 our price for regular was 3.15. Today its 3.93. Is this not a 25% increase in the past two months?! Does this not figure to 0.78 cents for the past 59 days?!! Has not the cost of crude also dropped?!?
The apathetic media sending out lame reports such as this, only buys into the REAL Cost Crisis and draining of our available cash. YOU the reporters and media need to start doing your job and raising a ruckus over this national issue thats going to economically cripple our wallets by summer. Instaed you lay back with a ho-hum story reporting national averages.
Cmon, grow some and start beating the drums!!!
Why is it that the Chevron station on Greenly Road jumps their price 10 cents a gallon overnight. How can they justify doing that. Tuolumne County isn't even close to the national average.
I for one intend to use this site's gas price list everytime I buy gas while these prices are so jacked up.
Vote with your dollars and don't buy gas anywhere that is arbitrarily charging more than other stations in the area.
There are thousands of articles... but it isn't a clear cut-and-dry issue. Who should we interview to "get answers" ?
It must be Bush and Cheney and Halliburton for these upward gas prices. Everyone knows President Obama is doing everything he can to fight the evil Halliburton and Cheney/Bush cabal.
You are not going to get any releif either, everytime you turn around somebody has their hand in your pocket whether it be gas, food, this tax that tax, water, the list goes on the working man has had it...
You might start by asking the CEO of Exxon why he deserves $107,500 a day.
In 2010 Rex Tillerson was given $15,750,000 in stock, a $3,360,000 bonus and a paltry salary of $2,390,000 totaling $21,5000,000.
He probably has gotten a raise since then. If you think Exxon's, or any big oil companies, profits filter down to the stockholder think again.
Maybe he deserves it. I just can't think of the reason why. He is selling our resources back to us isn't he?
We are being gouged because they think there's a chance they will lose their tax breaks- plain and simple.
Maddog420-- About that Chevron, do a little study of your own. Go out there on Tuesday night. Notice the price. Go out there on Thursday. Then again on Friday night and watch it "jump" right in time for the tourists coming up the hill for the weekend and watch it come right back down on Sunday overnight again.....
@calisdad: We're continuing to be gouged by the oil companies just like we always have. They're still making record profits (as they have for the past several years, long before any talk of their possibly losing their generous tax breaks) and it's coming straight out of our pockets. They still get millions in taxpayer subsidies that the republicans refuse to terminate. And yes, they are selling our resources back to us at greatly inflated prices so Rex and the boys can buy yet another yacht, island, vacation home or whatever. I don't care who you are or what you do, no one is "worth" or "earns" $107,500.00 a day. It's a broken system.
It's pretty simple. Just stop driving so much. It's really not that difficult. Just plan better. And stop thinking you're cool in your lifted diesel pavement pounder. You're not.
Incase you havn't heard that prices are going up, in your local news.... Check this video out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh_Kx7UKndI&feature=player_embedded Makes you wonder if 'someone' is telling them all what to say about Gas prices..
Those are some really good post's.....We are in this together and the sooner we realize it,then maybe we can work towards change....The reason they raise the prices is because they can...
Plain and simple...
And no interviews....We need to check out all the personal/confidential electronic data on them like they love to do to us....Where's Wikileaks on this one???
What does Calif do with all the tax windfall from the gas price increase? This weekend I drove from Palm Springs to Quarzite, AZ. Gas was $0.45 cheaper in AZ and worked just as good.
Well at least the oil comp are paying their fair share on taxes! Oh....... Wait...... They don't ....
How come I never hear any lying liberal Bush basher's complain when Obama's Energy secretary Chu say “he wanted gasoline prices to get to the European level, which is $9 or $10 a gallon” ?
Check this out according to KCRA's website....The State Board of Equalization is expected to approve a gas-tax increase of 3.5 cents-per-gallon at its meeting in Culver City on Tuesday.
And this is the stupidity I have never understood "As far as the increase in the price of gasoline, the annual switch from winter blend to summer blend gasoline is a big part of the reason, according to petroleum analysts who say that the switch temporarily reduces capacity at gasoline refineries, driving prices up." What's the big difference when they supposedly switch do they go around to the gas stations and pump the tanks of what ever blend of gas is going out so they can put the new blend in?
Drive less = less demand = lower prices, just like when we spiked up in 2008. Why worry about how much the CEO of a publicly traded oil company makes? Why worry about the station owner that has to raise his price by however many cents because he just bought 8 to 10 thousand gallons? Complain to Sacramento as they're the ones collecting the prepaid taxes on the load when it goes in the ground (+2 cents on every gallon every quarter).
