I was told by a friend that the DA has no control over this. I'll take her word. I take it back, what I said about the DA. Sorry DA.

According to booking information the victim was law enforcement.

Moderator: When we contacted the Sheriff Department and questioned them about the report they said the information about it being a peace officer was not correct.

Anyway, I know Michael Gilbert personally, and for this to happen to someone who has had such a messed up life is devastating. ...I wish God has mercy and gives him strength to deal with what he's about to go through now.
