Bret Harte High School has a combined Principal/ Superintendent. These schools are similar in size. I think this is something that needs be considered if its going to save the tax payers money.

Maybe the same Superintendent for both Summerville and Sonora. Each school needs there own Principal.

Every other government employee, including teachers, are being asked to do way more work for less pay. Why should it be any different for administration?

What is sad is that some of the teachers just want to get rid of the current principal. Period. They want him out because he is the first one in many years that simply enforces the rules that were already in place long before he ever came to this school. If they get the jobs combined, they think that they will get raises. That's not showing the best interest for the school or the kids. I thought being a teacher was about teaching kids so they can have a bright future. What example are they setting for these kids by behaving the way they are? And this doesn't apply to all the teachers, but there are enough of them acting this way to make a bad name for them. Personal vendetta's should never be a part of teaching kids. Doesn't seem right.

this is most school districts function! In the valley for example a school district may include 5 elementary schools, 3 junior highs and 1 school. Each school has a principal, and a vp and they function under the Super.. it's simple and more cost effective than 13 schools and 13 supers or whatever our situation is up here.
