That's a big knife. However, I am glad that he chose to bring that and not some more lethal weapon to the school, otherwise I'm sure the headline would have read differently.

Why would anyone brandish a knife? Mine is always out of sight.
whoknew?   01/25/2013 09:25:32
I think they should ban all knives over 4 inches long now !!!!!
remington   01/25/2013 09:56:21
oh no a knife.. lets ban them.. here we go back ground check for all knife purchases..
Anonso Quijano   01/25/2013 10:17:13
My legally concealed pistol would be no match for an idiot with a knife.
Crockett   01/25/2013 11:05:45
Brandish, I didn't see anything about this fellow moving or swinging back and forth or exhibit aggressively any weapon. Perhaps he was upset that the Constitution has been made void on school grounds. Some people are getting absolutely stupid about supposed danger. It's funny how liberals ask " what are you afraid of, why do you need a gun ?", and then they freak out about toys and paper guns in the hands of 5 year old terrorist. Liberals have zero credibility and belong in psyco wards.

mountainman   01/25/2013 11:49:00
how many kids did that guy in China kill with a knife...at a school, right about the time of Newtown?Arent guns illegal in China?
Robm   01/25/2013 12:35:51
Anonso Quijano, Carrying your legally concealed pistol on school grounds is also a felony. Please retake you Conceal carry permit classes or become more informed of where you can legally carry and where you can not legally carry.

I have an idea, lets ban everything in CA... that sure would make it safe.
sabrina   01/25/2013 14:47:54

Crockett, there are other things illegal on school grounds, not just guns or knives. There is also no alcohol, tobacco, coasting devices, and, on some campuses, pets (other than service animals). And, it's nothing new, it's not in any way a response to recent gun violence. I am a teacher, and those signs that list what's not allowes on campus have been up for years.
Anonso Quijano   01/25/2013 17:42:55
Robm, No its not. CA penal code 626.9 (L) exempts CCW holders.

crockett so true..
speak2tee   01/29/2013 10:03:21
You don't need to take guns and knives to schools. Serves no purpose. If you have been warned once, it doesn't seem possible to forget you have it strapped to your body twice. They wondered why he was there which makes me think he has no children there. The wife was wanted, she went to jail. They both need to go away. He can wear his knife somewhere else till he hurts or kills someone. Then he won't get to wear it anymore. If he's nice he might get to keep it. Doesn't seem the case. Some people are just ignorant.
