Crackdown On Lake Tulloch Vacation Homes?

Previous Posts for this Topic

So are the Supervisors going to regulate how often you can use bathroom too? This is the same kind of idiocy that happens when someone buys a home near an airport and then complains about that noise. Can't wait to see the rest of the comments?

Wow! I remember when there were 4 houses at Lake Tulloch. Talk about NIMBY.."not in my back yard"..People buy a single parcel of land and don't expect neighbors. Now the same people want a bunch of supervisors, i.e. (amature politicians) to "crackdown" on people having a good time.Lake Don Pedro has different development rules than Lake Tulloch.Am I missing something? Lake Tulloch is crowded?..DUH

"Crackdown ON Lake Tulloch Vacation Homes?" Really?

How about "Crackdown on Peace Disturbers"? Why does "guvment" always go after the masses for the actions of a few? What's next? Regulations for all rentals, then regulations for homeowners? Why not enforce the existing disturb the peace laws, instead of hog tying everyone with even more regulations? I guess you can't get more permit fees that way, I get it!

You can't afford more law enforcement, because you spent all your funds on stupid stuff, I get it! And there we go, sliding even further down the slippery slope...

Oh gawd!

Lake Tulloch sure has turned into a bunch of complainers. A few years ago it was boat stereo's were to loud. All last year it was The events at the resort and now this year it looks like it will be the rental homes. Pretty soon they will try to outlaw boats on the lake. Looks like Lake Tulloch is the place people don't like others enjoying life. I agree with jdfire its like the people that move next to the airport then complain about the plains. It's a vacation summer sporting area. You have to expect to have noise around an area like that.

Just a way for the government to charge a "Fee" for a permit to rent out a house that you own. How will a permit limit the noise people make at night?

This is wrong on so many levels! Number one is this is so selective, only Lake Tulloch, not the entire county. Number two; Is the expense of putting another ordinance in place really worth it? There are very few rental homes on Lake Tulloch since Poker Flat HOA made it illegal. Whose going to enforce? Are the rental police going to knock on doors and do bed checks? The main offenders are the property owners themselves, not renters and that is a known fact by the folks that actually live at Tulloch! It is so typical that a handful of elitist, are screaming the loudest and being heard by the County! Lake Tulloch is a public reservoir, for the public...not a private lake for homeowners who have the "I got mine" mentality!

I would much rather hear laughter, music and people having fun coming from the nearby houses once in a while rather than a dog that lives there barking day after day.

Those who have the money make the rules....same all over.

I agree with travzdad.

Who cares? Tulloch is a dump anyway. A DUMP!

This is no crackdown, it's a SHAKEDOWN.

Simply put, the county wants to separate you from your money, whether it be a "permit" to fix your deck or a permit to rent YOUR PROPERTY. Why couldn't this be solved without government intervention? It sounds to me like a neighbor dispute gone bad, now everyone gets reamed because the "authorities" must come and solve these children's disputes.

Typical Government *baloney. Permit to rent my house ???? RULES RULES RULES. Don't dare have fun it might offend a millionaire. My God they just keep taking rights away from us for every reason imaginable !!!!! Now they are basically going to tax you for having a good time on the lake during the summer !!!!
moneyonthe20   01/23/2013 12:15:51
LOL!!! If ya'll so proud of your freedoms, why did you join a HOA? And what if while exercising your freedom rights, you step on my freedoms? In order for your good time, you rent a place for 7 days, cram 50 people into a 20 person home, bring three ski boats with trailers, two pontoon boats with trailers, 4 personal watercraft with trailers, and 6-7 SUV's. And place two porta-potties out in the street (don't laugh, it happened!)? Then the next 7 days a new group. Now let's say there are two houses on that street. So take what I've listed and x 2?? From April to October. Admit to it. You guys blew it. You were greedy. Look where it got you. And don't forget to pay your HOA dues, got to enforce those rules you already agreed upon.
speak2tee   01/24/2013 10:58:44
They have HOA's for a reason. When you purchase a home where there are HOA'S you get a contract of the rules and regulations you must live by. You don't want to live by them you don't buy. What's the problem here? The disrespectful people who think they don't have to go by the rules will ruin it for everyone every time. If you don't want rules you don't buy in an HOA controlled subdivision. So the noise needs to go. Put your water craft in the lake park your trailer. If the lots full you go to another lot. You dont' line the street in front of peoples homes. Porto Potty??? How about if we put it in front of your house people? Let the stink come in your open window. How fast would you change your mind. I have to work in the morning and I can't sleep. Any of you experienced that? Go home!

Some of the most obnoxious, meanest people on the planet live on the water. They sit there and wait for you, like a spider, to do one thing wrong and fall into the web. Go down to the lake on Phoenix Lake Road and park near the water, pull out a map. Look around at all the mean old people staring at you or approaching your car to kick you out.
I once took a disabled friend and his (leashed) Lab to Don Pedro Lake. I drove on an upper dirt road to drop them off and a lady came running out yelling that they had to go around because the road was private property. We later learned we had every right to access that publicly maintained road. Then there's the private lakes and the busybodies who monitor your every move. Don't even get me started on those brownshirts.
