Suiting Up For Alcohol Stings

Previous Posts for this Topic

Pretty simple, really. Most cops like to dress up like Delta Force or Navy Seals without an armed enemy or real threat. If they actually needed this stuff they would join one of the outfits listed above.

I know they use a lot of tear gas in those underage alcohol stings, and of course the helmets for all the flying bomb shrapnel. Yes this was a very prudent fiscal use of the money. I sure hope we can get them an armored vehicle to pull up to the liquor stores and restaurants in.
I mean, with all of the tear gas and shrapnel flying around, the last thing you want, is to get hit with an I.E. D. out in the parking lot. I think it would also be a safe bet to do a couple of fly overs with an armed unmanned drone, just to get a feel of the situation before sending in the strike team. You just can't be too safe in these situations. If they have a remote controlled robot to send in after a couple of flash bangs and gas canisters were set off, that wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Bullet resistant vests to go after underage drinking?
What are they thinking? This is why California is broke.

Are you kidding me? More money wasted.
buckjimmy   01/01/2013 20:40:15
Because nothing says "undercover" like bullet-resistant vests, helmets and gas masks... LOL.
Kapt   01/01/2013 20:59:41
A little overkill maybe?

I think the reasons given for this equipment are lame. Enforcement agency's across the country are gearing up for gun confiscation and the end of our Constitution.

Let's back up a step...When was it not a crime to dress up a minor to solicate inoocent people to buy them alcohol???? Kinda think the same about the sting operations to crack down on prositution...They are in the act of solicitation of sex to catch the guy in the first place.

Go Figure....

The California alcohol enforcement may have trouble doing a sting dressed up that way. Or maybe they won’t protect the individual confronting the potential criminal, I’ll bet most bars and liquor carrying stores have shot-guns .50 cal pistols, baseball bats, gas canisters and masks, not to mention a crack group of snipers at the ready. Anybody have a figure of how many of them have been wounded or killed?
