CHP Gears Up For New Year

The CHP need to change the name to Cash Hunting Police. They are no longer interested in safety. Their main interest is in meeting a minimum performance standard, which is code for quota since quotas are not allowed in California. BTW if you file a complaint, (example; religious bias or unwarranted harassment) against a CHP officer for any reason you can expect another ticket from that officer within 2 weeks. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the video the officer “reviewed” but you can’t see until your trial gets edited. Also for those who presume they are actually “not guilty” until you are convicted, why do you have to pay to get a court date? Perhaps the “Notice to Appear" is actually considered a confession by the Judge. Just IMHO

EASY, Just obey the traffic laws and you will not have a run in with the CHP

If you are not doing anything illegally, no need to worry about being stopped. I, for one, am glad to see extra patrols.

I am a native Californian and have been driving for 45 years. I have been pulled over many, many times by the CHP. I have not always enjoyed the outcome…but the CHP has always been professional and I earned, (deserved) each of the stops. Drive safe and stay within the boundaries of the law and you won’t have a problem.
