It a mess above 3000ft but just wait. The sunny areas of the road will thaw. Tonight some of those areas will refreeze in a solid sheet of black ice. Most locals are aware of those spots on the road that present such hazards. Dont throw caution to the wind, drive as such these conditions will allow.

...And not a grain of sand to be found on any road (at least on all the roads I drove ALL MORNING). Even though we knew ahead of time that the roads were going to be icy this morning...
