Interesting they are having layoff, but they are opening a new department, Guess they are getting ride of people from less profitable operations and going to replace them with new staff.

Out with the old in with the new. It’s too bad for those that are affected directly and those that put in their time. Some don't even make it to retirement age...The severance package is a slap in the face.

yep and so ture 0-no-bigguy.. Sabrina wouldn't post my last comment against SRMC so will keep it simple on this one. We need better medical like another hospital in our county. Also why is it that SRMC and MTSJH layoff all these poor people who need jobs just to build more? Sound stupid to me. Wait until you can afford it and keep those who need a job working would be what I would do, but then again who am I to talk. have a great day !

letting staff go will not stop the uninsured from entering the facility.
Once they are in the E.R. they must be treated, regardless of their ability to pay...especially since there is not a lower level hospital to transfer them to ...Dignity Health is an oxymoron

I would go to MTSJH before SRMC.
