Yeah!!! Nice to see a little common sense prevail. Living a little closer to the land regardless of where you live is the way to go!
Are the livestock getting Obamaphones too?
Calaveras needs to do something like this. Existing code is based on a more rural population without housing developments and a history that allowed all kids to be able to participate in 4H and the county fair. All current law requires is that the animal be in good health and well fed (or doesn't make too much noise). No one has any business keeping a horse, cattle or other livestock on a tiny lot; no life for the animal to be enclosed in a small pen without the exercise nature intended no matter how well loved.
In the City Limits of Sonora? Sounds like a good compromise and plan!
I hope this works for all involved but I'm not going to hold my breath. I think some neighbors may have to. One acre is not much for large animals and the smell and dust will go airborne. I thought this was about chickens.
With the way the nation is going..we will need to have our own farm and garden.
@crmdgn....no matter the story, someone throws in an Obama dig. Some people just cannot move on and face reality with quality solutions.
Instead of fighting serious crime, now Sonora PD will have to respond to rooster noise complaints, god knows animal control is worthless.
Thank goodness I live in a HOA. Rosters have only one purpose. To tick off your neighbor. And why do you people always bring up Obama. This has nothing to do with him. Just our supervisors voting the the wrong way as always. Let the the crowing begin. You will hate it. I have had next to me in the past.
I didn't name the free cell phones. Also, it wasn't an Obama dig, is was a bad grammar dig.
