leaperman - Again you demonstrate your ignorance and disrespect. Dick Pland was not voted out. He retired after winning every election he entered. I listened to the Podcast and what a respectful send off for both. They didn't give themselves anything. People from all walks of life paid a respectful tribute.

Call it direspect if you like but some of the worst decisions ever for Tuolumne County were made when those 2 were in office and most if not all of those bad moves were fully supported by them. I have been in attendance at waaaaaaay too many retirement parties where good things were said and praise was heaped onto bad leaders when most in the audience were thinking "good riddance" but were to polite to say it.

Liz Bass and Dick Pland deserve our respect for many many years of selfless public service in local government. Both have devoted countless hours in understanding the issues impacting Tuolumne County and applying their insights and knowledge to adopt reasonable solutions to identified problems and seize opportunities. I commend them for their willingness and ability to serve Tuolumne County and its residents so very well.

I'm pretty sure leaperman621 meant L. Bass since D. Pland didn't run. What strikes me funny is how some posters are allowed to insult other posters directly by moniker. I was under the impression that wasn't allowed. If it is, I have a list here of folks that deserve some stronger language.

Crockett, we did almost edit the comment but Leaperman comments much more than anyone and unlike a lot of people would not come back with a vicious attack on 1hoonose. I know neither of them will agree or become friends but I had faith that they could disagree.
When insults slip by we let people defend themselves but I am pretty certain what you want will just become a name calling bitter fight. I suppose I could post a blog or you could open a forum topic here http://forums.mymotherlode.com/ and discus the anonymous commenters publicly.

Thanks Sabrina. Your comment is correct. We all have the right to disagree. I try NOT to attack the person, and when I comment back at them...like I did a few minutes ago...it's to say that I have the right NOT to respect some public officials.
You can addend that to my last post if you wish..if that will help to make some understand.

Phoenix Lake Freeway in particular.
