What's wrong with this situation and complaining...Let's see..Californians voted a tax increase on "the rich to 13%. Those folks are leaving with their business, employees, etc. to other States. California has 10% of the population and around 30% of the welfare. Do the math..People come here for welfare..Working folks leave..I think soon silicon valley and Hollywood will leave...Then all of the State pensions and welfare will crash and this State can start over..My way of thinking..Give everyone 10 cents on the dollar..budget balanced.

The Democrats blame the very people who built this country for all it's ills. I think California will go the way of Detroit. Now that the Democrats have opened the boarders to foreigners and give them the right to vote, the end is near. We will see the very people liberals hate leavening. What is known as white flight will be the lead total decline of the Golden State.
PS: You liberals under 30 will convert to conservatives within 10 years when you see how things have deteriorated. Sorry as of Nov. 2ed, it's already too late for California.

Doubtful that Silicon Valley or Hollywood will leave, hugh, but agree that many of the working people in between including small business owners are giving it serious consideration.

My advice to anyone who isn't heavily invested in California would be to leave asap. I have little faith that the economy or property values will ever return to what they were 8 years ago. There are places in this country where there is work and reasonable Real Estate prices. Of course the rest of the coutry is also seeing hard times too but my theory is that Ca is allways the leader and I think it will be the first to fall.

And actually, most of the welfare is collected by the red states. G'luck!

Bookldy- many of Hollywood's films are now made in Canada. Much lower taxes there. Like Sons of Anarchy? Its set in CA- but filmed in Canada. Same goes for Silicon Valley. There is almost no production of Chips or Computers there anymore. All moved to low cost areas like China, Korea, Taiwan, etc. Companies are Headquartered there, but thats it. New facilities are being built in low cost states like Texas. Sorry, but Crockett is right about White Flight. Its fully underway right now.

I'm only here because of family. If it weren't for them I'd be long gone, never to look back.

ps, speaking of hollywood and silicon valley... A darned high economic driver! Oh yes, and most of these folks are 'rich' but know their civic duty of paying taxes. "Liberals", the favorite word of so many who enjoy casting stones.
The people who want progress will stay and progress, YAY!

Gee, I thought the Hollywood and Silicon Valley types were the 1% that liberals hate. I guess it's only when it works for them.
PS: Instead of investing tax dollars in failed solar and battery companies like Obama, Ron Reagan invested in technology in the Silicon Valley. Reagan's investment and the last two years of the Clinton presidency with a Republican controlled congress produced the budget surplus. Liberals like to take credit for what Conservatives did.

@wethehonestppl......You maybe right about the red states. The difference between the red and blue states are: The people on walfare in the Red states worked for it when they had jobs. The walfare in the blue states has been passed down generation to generation like some ole family cooking recipe. They never worked and the never will. Oh, my fault they know how to work the system.

ludicrous, haha! I'd love to see some numbers.
Of course! In the red states, people work for it. In the blue, people are "getting stuff".
Again thank you for the logic. Logic? Wishful thinking.
Some (most) in Hollywood and Silicon valley (the economic drivers) have said in many cases that they should pay more in taxes! These are smart patriots!
Noone ever answered when I asked, "How do y'all explain wealthy like in Hwood, SValley, etc. and people like Warren Buffett?"
What did you all have to say about the Berryhill brothers?
My point is, if you're so unhappy and disenfranchised, when will you do what you said you'd do and go?
Again, we who want progress will continue to progress. Good luck y'all!
