You should have to get a license in order to reproduce. Or once a person/family has had child abuse/neglect cases they should be permanently sterilized. Look at what nice, good, stand up people have to go through in order to adopt children and people like this can willingly procreate without any restrictions. Disgusts me to no end.

This story is so sad. I hope the doctors can save this poor baby and this man gets put into the general population when he goes to prison.

How can anyone want to do harm to their own child, I understand a good spanking, but a 3 month old... really? c'mon now they don't understand, know why they feel like they do. A babies cry is not for the fun of the baby. They cry because they need something... What is so hard about that? I just don't understand why people do harm to little kids... makes me mad and sad... As a father myself, I'm so sick of the low life trashy worthless people this county seems to attract.

Take a minute, sit and think about the last time you held a 3 month old (or younger, they said some of the injuries were older injuries) as tough as it may be, think about what it would take to physically harm such a small, helpless and precious baby, rational people would cringe at the thought.

Society needs to realize that there are evil people living among us, softly punishing them, giving them a "pass" or simply believing that they can be "helped" no longer works.

These heartless criminals need swift and very harsh punishments, we have bowed to the "CA mommyocricy" for too long = "say you’re sorry and all will be forgiven" it’s now time to punish these animals in a manner they understand…

Anyone who harms a child is the scum of the earth and needs to go away. I hope he gets his due justice at the hands of the inmates who become his world. There is no excuse for abusing an innocent child and no forgiveness in my world. May this baby's suffering be short and her soul be in God's hands.

As tears roll down my face I pray for you sweet baby, I pray that you don't have to feel any more pain, I pray that if you live only loving hands ever touch you again. I pray that if God sees fit that he should take you from this life, you are born again to parents who will protect you. I pray that if you live you don't suffer with physical or emotional problems. I am not a religious person but I do believe in a mighty God and I pray that he please intervene here.

If that baby dies, what better justification might there be for ending [the life of the one who did it]? I can think of none.

Where was Children's Services after the wife was imprisoned for beating one of her other children? You would think they would do welfare checkups to ensure the husband is coping, especially with a 3 month old.

It's so cute when the county fights for the "rehabilitation" of the parents in these cases. Mandatory adoption!! Why should ANYONE get a second chance in a case like this??

I am confused. Why is this man only getting felony charges resulting in the death of a child. If this child dies, isn't he supposed to get manslaughter? There is definitely something wrong with the justice system. I have always said they call it the "criminal" justice system, because it is only the criminals that get justice.

A 3 month old baby? The only thing she should have had was lots of snuggles food and clean diapers. How a "man" can do this is just disgusting. And why wasn't he checked out since "mom" was already in jail for the same thing? And I put those in quotes is because neither one of them are a Mommy or Daddy!!! God Bless Baby Girl

I can't get this story out of my mind, why was this child left in this house, with the mother serving time for a previous child abuse case it was CLEAR as day that this home was no place for a child, let alone an infant.

Pray for this baby, pray for recovery and pray if God steps in and helps this child survive this baby finds a nice home, with a loving family and a life deserving of someone so precious.

WOW! what can I say but I am speechless. How can anyone do this? The mother is in prison for this and now he is. Sad day... :( My prayers go out to this small baby.. just heartbroken..

You guys have to realize, these people aren't bred in or attracted to this county specifically. This is America, and it is probably not as bad in this county, so give us hill people a break!
Anyone who harms any living being who is helpless, baby, elderly or an animal who can't defend itself, should be put in a special database so people in the community know they are predators. And no, I'm not comparing a child's life to that of a non-human animal, it is the same predatory instinct that causes people to harm either. I'd like to see them put down, but I'm not King, sigh.
