Guilty? Are you sure it wasn't no contest?
THM   12/05/2012 15:23:29
Wow, three years seems a little light considering the crime.

Three years in state prison! That's it? No wounder people do what ever they please with no regard to the safety of others or the law. All the get is a slap on the wrist, a few months or years in prison, and a couple grand in fines... all of which they will end up running from, or end up committing more crimes.

Doubt if he will do more than 6 months and then be let out per ab109 :(

The sheriff department needs to get their cars in a fenced enclosure, anyone could walk up to them as it now, and do what ever they wanted, No lessons learned from the radicals from the 70's

Jail Full out in 4 months! Big Deal
sierrazd   12/05/2012 16:59:55
If you consider three years in a state prison/gladiator academy a "slap on the wrist" then you've obviously never seen or heard much about them. Three years of your life and freedom gone and stuck in a put like a state prison is not paradise. No one was killed or injured with his actions, straight up property crime. And given the costs of incarceration and overcrowded state prisons, the sentence sounds just about right.

Get used to it folks. Back in the day they hung people for murder. Now they are lucky if they get 15 years. And lesser crimes, pushaw, "Now Mr. Criminal, if you plead guilty and take our deal because we have too many people in prison we will just slap your hand, give you a little bit of time in our jail (depending on vacancy) and put you on probation so you can get back to doing your drugs and committing other crimes." That's the reality that's happening. Citizens remember, you have the right to protect yourself because our justice system sure isn't.

Is America full of bad people? Must be.Because everyone says no one gets jail time they need more. But we have the highest rate of people incarcerated in the world by far.We have 730 people per 100,000 compared with Canada at 114 per 100,000 check for yourself. No other country comes close to having as many prisoners as the U.S. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_incarceration_rate

Even law enforcement is open season to mayhem if the courts continue to make ridiculous plea bargains.

Ignorant comments or opinions should be kept to yourself (tizalee). It's one thing to rag on the sentence for the crime, but another to disrespect an individuals intelligence or family, which you probably know nothing about either. Alcohol & drugs are clearly a problem in this county, or any other place in the U.S, tell me one person on the most wanted or crime graphics is not there as a result of addiction. The path one chooses to take is their own, we are all given opportunity in life and those decisions we make, are what make us. Just remember that these Loser's you're better than, have family's that have probably tried to help.
