Why do they not address the root cause of domestic violence, the in ability of the state to lower unemployment, Sale of alcohol to someone already intoxicated. Its proven that excess alcohol use and debt is major player in domestic violence.

I don't believe it is the inability to lower unemplyment but rather the lack of desire for people to work. With public assistance often one can make as much doing nothing. We are losing our work ethic and some would rathr get something for nothing. I often see signs on buisnesses for vacant positions but many are part time......and people don't wnat to work two jobs.

Too much time with nothing to do and drugs/alcohol can lead to violence at home.

What about professional football players?

People who use their words not their fists don't become violent because they drink or don't have a job. Lets face it, people who beat up their spouses are bad people to begin with. Alcohol is no excuse. We are all responsible for our own actions.

I think more money should go to the womens' shelter/s in our county. Symonds foundation should look at that.
