It's all part of the sickness. OBEY. SLEEP. SLEEP. CONSUME. OBEY.

No bargain is worth dealing with one, let alone 500 nasty, pushy soccer moms. I'd rather fight my way through: an abortion protest at a Planned Parenthood, an Oakland Occupy encampment, an Israeli blockade, a herd of wild moose or flock of mean geese. I'd rather dig up the septic line, clean up dog poop in the back yard, have dinner with Barack Obama, disarm a booby trap, go to jury duty, clean a horses teste sack, bathe a dirty dog or change a diaper. The Lord saw fit to allow this madness to go on a day before and a day after Thanksgiving, which proves he, indeed, hates us.

I am thankful it will be over soon and that the only turkey in this house is the one that was cooked yesterday.

Black Friday: Because only in America, People trample others for sales exactly one day after being thankful for what they already have.

I cannot justify trampling my fellow shopper for a decrease in price on an item I can get anytime.

PS-The Wal Mart 32 inch HD tv is priced for Black Friday the same as we paid 2 months ago !! Guess they figured we'd forget the regular price.

rider - for once, I completely agree with you. The commercialization of the Christmas season is completely out of control, and what amazes me is the large number of people that have apparently bought into it (if you'll excuse the pun). I saw a rather sad story when I was up in Seattle last week about a mall Santa who tries to dissuade children from asking for iPods, Wiis, smart phones, computers etc., because he knows a lot of parents can't afford stuff like that right now. I think he was having a tough time selling the cheaper alternatives, but you had to admire his following his conscience. Using kids to twist their parents arms into buying things they can't afford is just sick, like some perverted version of "keeping up with the Joneses".

Honestly, if I had known Walmart was going to mis-mark a 60 inch TV down to $110 I would've battled the crowd for it...

Seriously, why don't we just take this to it's logical conclusion and just have fist fighting tournaments in the parking lot with the winners getting the lowest TV prices. I mean, they could get more of your money for admission to the fights in addition to getting you to blow off your family and come out to give them your money for their merchandise that will end up in the landfill in a few years. You know, if TV's and the like are that important to you.
