Liar and chief at it again,taxes are already going too be raised,how does nobama expect too pay for nobama care,liar and chief playing the blame game,demorats get your marching orders....

Please........Obama and the Demwits are all about raising TAXES. If you live in this state you could get a triple whammy. The state tax is going up, special district tax( City, County, etc) and now the tax cuts are going to expire. And for those of you who live in the SRA the good old fire tax. Take your receipts (paytubs, gas, utilities, etc) add up the taxes you pay for that year. Then ask yourself, Self where is all that tax money going, or gone to. Well, just makes you want to PUKE does it not! Not sure but I think between all our Taxes in the state we have to be the highest state taxed.

Get real to pay for all the hand outs we are all going to pay more in taxes, income tax up sales tax up, and just wait for the fees from the state level, with the democrats in complete control of the state we who work will need to tighten our belt's to pay for the votes that got these clowns elected.

Can I see a show of hands who did not see this coming.

Let the taxes go up on everybody. Really tired of the class war which punishes success. The "millionaires" he refers to are the business owners who employ staff on their personal filings. Its called a
"millionaires tax" yet it kicks in at $250,000, sounds odd coming from an economic mastermind like Obama.

Mark my words, in 4 years we will see the following;

- Unemployment at 10% - Hostess is just the start
- 21-22 Trillion in debt, Big O will try to spend his way out (again)
- Obama still blaming Bush and pointing back 8 years

And lastly, 50% of the US on government programs, it will be his legacy to the next Dem running for office, his "hand off' making it a breeze for the dem’s to stay in charge. One thing is for sure, no matter how lazy, people can vote.

drvmustangs! I guess 51% or so didn,t see it comming, they re elected obamy and in Ca a senate full of democrats which is the one that scares me the most. I just got my $150 fire tax notice yesterday. Sending a warning about a tax! is that the most democrat thing you ever saw. How much did that mailing cost the taxpayers. Does PGE send out electric bill warnings? hey you used electric this month, be prepared for a bill! Good one Jerry! and I bet there was a special office created to handle that!Democrats creating more jobs, and the head stamp licker is probably union getting $30 per hr!

As I have been saying, this is just a drop in the bucket of what is to come in the next 4 years.

@RAV......Your spot on and if the taxes go thru, in the first six months the unemployment will be at 10%. Hostess is what you have heard about, but their are a hundred Hostess like companies laying off you have not heard about.....Thank you, Obamacare!!!! Thank you, Higher Tax Rates!!!!
Last but not least the government is proficient at two things: Spending our hard earned Tax Dollars and making Frivolous Laws. They get an A-plus on those.

I think alot of dead people and pets voted in this election, not to mention illegals. The fact that not as many on the right side voted at all due to lack of enthusiasm, we get the bozo for four more years.

Yes I agree with REV. This is why only property owners and military personnel should be allowed to vote.

When does the 1% sales tax on real estate sales start? I know its part of the Obama Care package but its so darned hard to get any hard facts on that mess.

Rich don't care about increase taxes, they have already earned their money and its been taxed, most likely way back when taxes were reasonable. its the hard working people who "aspire" to be rich that are being punished.

My money sits firmly in a tax shelter, legally hidden from the government in metals and other protective places. I can't wait to see who Obama blames when his policies ruin this country, will it be congress? Will it be the rich? My bet is it will be Iran as he fails to control the religious zealots, they start a world conflict and he can blame the bad economy on the world conflict and not his complete ignorance of the capital marketplace.

The GOP house has been been backed into a corner. If they don' agree to allow the tax rates for the top 2% of income earners to expire; which is only a 4% increase to 39%; everyone from the poor to the middle class will have to pay more. This includes cuts to schools and funding for state and local governments. They wealthy have not suffered one bit during this recession like the rest of us have. They don't have to worry about how to pay rent, utilities, food, and other living expenses on meager wages like we do. The GOP will be blamed for years for allowing needless hardships on average working families. Romney's 47% remarks are how the vast majority of the wealthy REALLY feel about we people who he accuses of just wanting handouts. Shame on the wealthy and the GOP. We just want jobs.

It doesn't take a genius to realize that everytime you increase tax on the wealthy/big business, they just pass that expense right down the line and WE acutally end up paying for it. If you decrease the tax on the wealthy, they have money to spend....spend on employees, goods and services, expasion(jobs), technology(jobs).
This country is controlled by the rich so you better work with them rather than against them.

i've been watching some rolling stones movies lately, they were taxed at a rate of 95% back when.
i wish i had time to research and show facts...but i do hear stories and have seen many instances where the very wealthy are really not paying a whole lot in taxes.
they can afford the lawyers who know how to hide their income.

@rev, you hit the nail on the head, the successful have paid already and will now close shop to avoid the obamacare tax and still live large..It is the up and comming investors trying to succeed that will have to pay the price....no future in risking job creating, it is a loosing proposition...

Can anyone explain how taxes will not go up for anyone working for a living? Since those not working are now the majority and unable to sustain income to our economy, we the working class will pay their fair share. Pubs, dims, whatever you want to call the parties in DC, have little option but to plunge the needle into our wages and and "Hope" we survive this economic holocaust.

I would like to know, and not that it is any of my business so feel free not to answer, but how many of you people on this page make $250k or more in a year? I don't, so the raises won't affect me unless they can't reach agreement.What the republicans need to do is get rid of Grover Norquist. That's the man that has all the republicans sign a pledge not to raise taxes. So if a republican changes his mind and doesn't honor the pledge because he see's people suffering he gets blackballed by the republican party and gets negative adds placed against him. Like getting x communicated from a church if you do something they didn't like. Grover Norquist needs to step aside until we get on our feet then go back to his no tax business. Give the people a break, we all need it. The rich will be fine.

No matter what happens, our taxes will go up. You don't have to be an economist to see that one coming! Whatafreakingjoke!
