imagine that people are picking up the few seasonal jobs they can find.

Not to mention all the forestry people are going on unemployment. Collecting the MAX per week.

I think they should be paid like school teachers...... pay 'em more per hour, and let them worry about money during the ski (off) season.

It’s ok, the democratic majority that controls our legislature will offer to give up their pension plans and high salaries to the needy! Then they will ease regulations and taxes on business so California can start generating income again. But then, they have four years to just fatten their bottoms.

The only forestry people that collect the "Max" are fire fighters who had a season that meets the requirements to collect the max. Which is still much lower than their normal pay. And they were laid off already.
SO.
Unemployment numbers are down. Deal with the good news, haters.
