I never could figure out why anyone would "Shoot up Heroin"! Jesus put other forms/types of drugs out there for you to use, that didn't ruin a persons life, and those around you. I am 61 and never even thought about it! Not once; "Nothin White does any good except an asprin" I hope Heroin is white............

I sure hope the suspect gave the cops the ok to search.He is at home, and without a warrant or ok from the suspect to search, I would say it was illegal for them to go into the house and search (even with track marks, its his home), and anything they found doing so would be a question mark in court as far as eveidence.You just can't go and search someones home by someone calling in saying "they say" this car driving, go to his home, and see fresh needle marks, I would think.I am no legal expert,and I was not there, so this is purely just a thrown out question.

aaron they don't need a warrant if they have probable cause drugs/paraphernalia in view of the officer. Heroin is becoming a bigger problem in the Mother Lode every year good to see the law stumble over some druggies accidentally and now sheeple believe spd is doing such a good job even tho there are more heroin/meth users in the ML than ever before.

I can see it now, when this goes to court the Judge is going to get a perplexed look on his face, He going to have to look the term Heroin, to make sure it's a illegal drug, called the DA to the stand and make sure they worked out a plea deal and return all the evidence to the suspects. In the mean time they will make either the Sheriff or Sonora most wanted for a no show. AS least one aspect of LE is doing their job, ood work SPD, now only if the other 2/3 could do theirs.

To the write of the story: From the headline "HUGE amount"..you never did state what that amt was...that seems important to me. Also, great point, thrinskkaar, they kept a "little black book"? These people surely don't fit into the Mensa level of great thinkers! Thanks a bunch for the alert citizen that got he plate right & called it in!
