Start issuing concealed carry permits. When the state government mismanages revenue and releases thousands of convicted criminals into our neighborhoods they have FAILED to protect us, which is their primary function. Law abiding citizens must demand their rights to self protection. The cops come after your dead not before.

Kuntz and Mele need to explain how they are going to implement a better process for the 2nd Amendment. Although it's likely Mele will simply continue to tighten up on CCW applications and make it even more difficult.

Mele needs to be replaced by a Sheriff who has actually read the Constitution, and believes it is still a valid document.

No problem getting a CCW in Calaveras, as long as you haven't put yourself on the "naughty" list.

I agree. If the state won't keep criminals in prison, then at least make carrying a gun easier. Give out more permits.
