How about posting a few signs around the bay area and around southern California. I dont think I have ever seen a "conserve water" sign in any of their areas even though they steal water from us mountain folk.

Somebody tell me if I'm wrong but has anyone seen a conserve water sign in the bay area?

Has anyone been to downtown Livermore to see the new fountains, or the other evaporation inducing devices located throughout the Bay Area? Something is wrong. Our forefathers sold off our water rights many moons ago with the $ on their minds. It was back when the population wasn't so......(fill in the blank). How can we reposes them?

Usually, when they ask us to conserve water it's for the bay area and southern CA. But not when PG&E is doing ditch maintenance. This is when we actually do need to conserve water (for 1 week or so), because we are running on storage tanks only.

Perhaps they are not posting signs because right now, it is a local problem.

Have to agree w/REV..on visits to So. Cal I see so much "wastefullness".
Once I said something to that effect to a man who stood watching his
sprinkler water the sidewalk--his response was "Who cares?I can
afford it"--I responded with "that water came from my part of the
state and we cant afford you" and that was that.
I have never ever seen a sign anywhere around Orange County asking
people to conserve anything.
The mind set is "I'm richer than you so I can do what I want". Sad but
true.

The same with some young women up here--"My car cost more than yours, so I get to go ahead of you, no matter what"--
I've had too many encounters with that type up here !!

Like I said before, I'll start conserving for this "outage" when the water trucks at the bypass construction start conserving.

Good Morning Rev and NOPE never seen one. In fact I can't conserve any more than I am.. I let my whole yard go with no water all summer while neighbors around me water and have beautiful yards. From conserving and the price of water to TUD I can't afford it. I pay 140 in there charges alone. Wish I could move out of the county... It sucks living here anymore and with the Medical even worse! have a great day

I'll use less when they charge me less...I use my allotment, that;s what i pay for.

Every October they do this water conservation. And I agree the water rates are outragous!

Vote out Behee, Dahlin and Righen. We need new blood on the Board. I got a flyer at the store yesterday... it is promoting 4 candidates.... GEMS... Grinnell, Evans, Maciel and Sarno.... at least as their bios say, they have a financial background which is something none of the current Board has. VOTE "GEMS" gets my vote!!!
