She is full of it, last time she called for a gas price investigation she took home a nice haul of funds for her reelection guess who gave her the money, oil companies. last time it came out as price bracking, not price fixing.

Want to price to go down then stop taxing fuel.

The gas price is the peoples fault! we pay it! If just 50% of Americans stayed home for all the holidays, starting with memorial day through christmas, car pooled to work, kill the demand, the price would come down dramaticly. This gas spike is just another deal to see how much the people can and will pay.

She should vote to audit the FED, it is the devaluation of the dollar that causes inflation...But she won't her brother from Nevada Harry Reid won't allow a vote on the issue...

Yeah, I agree. She is one of the reasons we have higher gas prices here in CA. Her and her lib friends vote in these BS environemental warm and fuzzy laws mandating this state to use a different more expensive blend than the other 49 states then she stands up and wants an investigation. I will bet you dollars to donuts her "investigation" will ignore the above and will spout more leftist lies about capitalism and the oil companies.

I lived in Southern Cal during the 60's and the air is far cleaner now. Why? Because of California emissions standards. If we didn't have them a lot of you wouldn't be around to complain.

google "California's green gas shortages" Wall Street Journal..It get's way scarier than this when AB32 (cap and trade) goes through.

If you want change you must live change. Ride share, car pool, and plan ahead instead of just running to the store….reduce consumption! We live in a rural area and we have to drive plenty of miles just to work, but you can help to control useless trips.

Higher gas prices mean more tax revenues. The state wants the prices high and will do little to stop the price escalation. Now Di comes out with an amazing response to have government run an investigation. And do what? Tell us what we already know?!? That government will do little to stop the collections of taxes! And then blame Wall Street? Geez.....

Drive less people. Simple solution to this problem. I drive an eighth of what i did just a few years ago. This is just the greed of the American oil companies. Plain and simple.

Then move back LA! Plain and simple she made money of Californian's from the oil companies. I have 8 Friends who work for the standard refinery in Richmond each gave 10,000.00 to her reelection fund on behalf of standard oil. that means the company to get by the soft money rule gave to her via each person working at the refinery. Oh Ya and Obama is the greatest president in the history of the country. I for one am really tired of being hosed by the libs in our government. Yes lets not go to work to get over on the oil companys and show them oh wait my house paid is due and PG&E, Phone TUD food ya great idea family does not need to eat.

The investigation should start in her office. She and here cohorts passed all these taxes and regulations now when the voters are upset she points her crooked finger in the other direction.

If this were a republican asking for the investigation you'd be in his/her corner. So predictable, so hypocritical. Funny how it's the dems who are always the ones going to bat for us--seldom is it ever the repubs. Feinstein is right, a refinery down & the switch-over to winter mix don't justify the kind of price hikes we're seeing. Demand is down with the end of vacation season. Calisdad is right on--cleaner air is a benefit to all of us & the only way to achieve that is with regulations (unfortunately). We should be taking the huge medical costs to treat all the ailments caused by air pollution into account in the actual price of a gallon of gas & while we're at it, the wars we've waged so we can get mid-east oil. Those expenses would double the actual, accurate cost of a gallon of gas.

This is in part due to AB 32...Cap and Trade that is being implemented as we speak. The State is going to start 'trading' carbon credits in early November. This spike is only going to get worse because AB 32 says the gasoline mix must be changed...AGAIN to comply with Cap and Trade. Thanks to all you yahoos who voted for AB 32.... you get what you deserve!!! I wish people would really look at what happens when they drink the kool aid and vote for these pie in the sky rules.... they hurt us all and drive CA business away!!

Actually, water is probably the "New Gold" in California...if you buy a bunch of 12 oz. bottles of water and see how much it would cost to fill a gallon...except for the fact that I don't buy bottled water.

She doesn't care what the price of gas is. She needs to get her name in the news in this election year. Its her office that needs to be looked into for all the sweetheart deals she got her husband.
