Cat,because that is the time of day some of us are WORKING,and the earlier in the day heat being less,which in turn lessens fire hazard

OK why are they bleeding off this excess "pressure"? Air in the "gas" line? inspection? what. That shouldnt be so hard to UNDERSTAND obviously there is some problem or change in the norm for them to do this or has San Bruno been taken seriously

@mm--thanks, at least the second part of your comment makes sense. (The first part, that that's "when some of us are working," is no more valid than "that's when some of us are sleeping." Just thinking of the folks in Arnold...)

Geez, mountainman, when I worked graveyard I didn’t expect the rest of the world to revolve around my schedule. If PG&E is worried about the heat, how about not scheduling it in late summer? Then again we’re talking about PG&E, the company that really cares about their customers.
