If it was legal and regulated, these characters wouldn't be in our forest. We closed down all the local shops(people paying taxes) while our forests fund cartel activity. Whats the logic?

Exactly the reason California voted to have grow/sales legal, in store front businesses, paying payroll, sales tax and monitored by the regulations set forth in each community. Unfortunately we had no local regulations set up before granting permits to open in TC and now we have and will continue to have massive violently protected cannabis grow/sales by the most unwanted characters. If you are a hiker, hunter or just take your dogs for runs in the back county watch out because TNT won’t be there to protect us if we walk upon this money making illegal activity!

These are the people we DONT want in our forests. GREAT job to TNT on this one. This is an evil we can do without in our community. And in case you have forgotten, Cartels ARE the creation of prohibition.

Legalization of pot can't come fast enough; yet I know once it does happen, the bureaucracy created to handle its legalities will find ways to squander those taxes also.

Boy Mountainman you are really wrong as usual. Card carriers grow their or go to dispeneries. They want no part of illegal grows. It's 17 states that have medical marijuana. California will not legalize it first. Won't happen. Too many conservatives. Maybe Co or Wa.

I really don't believe the theory that the Mexican Cartells are sending them up here to grow pot. There are plenty of places in Mexico to grow pot much cheaper and with less hassles from the police. Hell the cartells own the police in Mexico. I think what you are seeing is a few illegals that know how to grow the stuff coming up here to get away from the cartells and make a few bucks. BTW all illegal marijuana growers aren't bloodthirsty scum. You are more likely to be killed by a white grower protecting his crop. Nope I don't smoke it grow it or anything to do with it but I think society is trying to keep us afaid of anything that has to do with the "Evil Weed Marijuana" I say its allready here, legalize it and make a few more bucks for politicins to waste LOL

What a waste of time and taxpayer money! These guys would still be in Mexico if our local growers could produce this crop legally. To top off the stupidity, many people wonder why the economy is suffering. Grow, tax, sell. Simple. It's a harmless weed.

Get your head out of the sand and educate yourself on this subject. You will be shocked!!!! Tie in with Law Enforcement and ask them about the Mexican Cartells and their grows. Go to the USFS and Cal Fire and ask their Law Enforcement Officers. Go down to Sierra Prison and to meet with the Warden or Captains on this subject. Its out there and only getting worse!!!
