geez..... when did golf become a full contact sport!? The guy was waiting to hit a golf ball right??? Its not like he was waiting for a new battery for his heart/lung machine!!! Calm down fella!

Golf and other recreation is meant to relax and let go of stress. Something is very wrong with individuals who cannot remain courteous and civil playing a game. And have the patience to understand that others are still learning.

Wow somebody needs a new hobby. Wonder if the Judge will take away his clubs? Manors would have let this guys play though but what the hex this is a me first world now.

I thought this was the Sport Of Gentlemen ????? Maybe the guy didn't know about letting someone play thru but even if he did should he have been clubbed? I think they should make him play behind a bunch of slow people for 6 months as punishment :-)

If people would just have the common courtesy to let faster players play through, all kinds of potential problems would be avoided. I don't know all the facts, I just base on this on experience. It's the same as you drivers who drive 40 on a highway. You have many options of places to pull over and let the 10 cars behind you pass, but you just ignore it and keep driving as if you own the road. Again, just presuming based on the content of the story. ...And no, it's still no excuse for what the guy did, but there is always a consequence to our actions (or lack there of).

Golf clubs are apparently VERY dangerous! They should ban them!

thrinnskaar many times I let other golfer go ahead and have them play slower then us. Also have been backed up and have gofers behind me just have a fit for not letting go ahead. I've had golfers hit on the green while I was putting. They did not get their ball back. The real problem is golfers are a big pain in the rear. Always in a hurry.

I agree...there is nothing in the constitution that guarentees the right to own golf clubs.....they should be illegal.
