I'm disappointed in the inadequate coverage this event has recieved. There are alot of young families that live in Jamestown especially on Preston Lane. The Fire Crews did an AWESOME job containing what started out as two little boys playing with matches. These young boys almost displaced over 10 families. 1 bld. @ Oak Hills Apts. was evacuated. I think the owner should develope the burned out area into a park or some kind of wildlife refuge to better serve this community. In the past 8yrs this area has burned 3 other times, though not to this extent. It was so beautiful, the wildlife that depended on this area now must find another home. My heart weeps for all who were affected by this tragedy.

UnderCoverMother, thank you for sharing your perspective about the history of the area. This will certainly get at least one more news story, we have yet to receive the official word about the cause.

As a Tuolumne County volunteer firefighter, I would like to thank the general public for their support, both on here and at the scene of the fire. It is very gratifying to see and hear the positive response from Mr. and Mrs. Joe Taxpayer. I've been doing this for almost 7 years and the feeling of being appreciated never gets old. From all the paid and volunteer fire personnel... Thank you all for your support.

You volunteers definitely deserve kudus. When you are needed you drop everything and come running, and don't know what awaits.
Integrity and courage.
Bravo!
