As a nation we have been willingly involved in many wars where literally hundreds of thousands of innocent lives are lost (collateral damage) to “protect our way of life”. Yet we are unwilling to execute a few thousand murderers, child molesters, etc. to actually protect our lives? It doesn’t make any sense to me.

Might as well repeal it, since we never seem to follow through with any convictions.
