Big Oak Flat, Ca -- The Longfellow Stamp Mill in Big Oak Flat suffered major damage during yesterday´s three acre vegetation fire off Hwy 120 and Vassar Rd.
The fire was reported during the one o´clock hour and officials have not determined the cause. The Stamp Mill was considered a focal point of an effort by local service clubs to create a historic park and visitors center along the gateway to Yosemite.
There is no word yet as to whether rebuilding is possible.
